Personal Insurance
Any person who owns property or household goods needs to be protected from loss or damage. Policies that can be taken out of this form of insurance are Houseowners (buildings) insurance, Householders (contents) insurance, All Risks insurance, Personal Liability insurance, Personal Accident insurance, Living Future (serious illness) policy.

Houseowners (Buildings) Insurance
The policy covers buildings and fixtures and fittings against damage to the buildings caused by: theft, fire, lightning, explosion earthquake, impact by animals; accidental damage of water pipes; accidental breakage of windows e.t.c.

Householders (Contents) Insurance
The policy covers household goods and personal effects of every description, the property of the insured or for which he is responsible or of any member of his family normally residing with him, and fixtures and fittings the insured’s own or for which he is responsible all in the buildings described in the schedule. The loss or damage to the contents would be as a result of: theft, fire, lightning, explosion earthquake, impact by animals; accidental damage of water pipes; accidental breakage of windows e.t.c

All Risks Insurance
This class of insurance covers loss or damage from most external causes and is suitable for jewellery, watches, cameras, spectacles and property often taken away from home or subject to accidental damage. This will also include luggage, sports equipment and other possessions generally carried on the person, covered under one overall sum insured.

Personal Accident Insurance
This insurance will compensate the insured if he or she sustains bodily injury by accidental violent and visible means. The policy covers Death, Permanent Disablement, Temporary Total Disablement and Medical Expenses.

Living Future
This insurance covers dreaded diseases: Heart Attack, Kidney Failure, Coronary Disease requiring surgery, Major Organ Transplant, Paraplegia, Blindness, Cancer Including Breast Cancer and Cancer. Compensation only becomes payable when the person survives the illness for 15 days after it has been diagnosed.
